Excited to have been awarded the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra‘s 8th Annual George Duke Commissioning Prize. This prize was created to honor the legacy of George Duke, SJO’s Co-Music Director from 2004 until his passing in 2013. Looking forward to premiering a new work composed for this wonderful 67-member jazz orchestra in their 2024-2025 concert season.

Thrilled to be a recipient of the New Jazz Works commissioning award from Chamber Music America and the Doris Duke Foundation! I will be composing a new work scored for my jazz quartet and string quartet to be premiered in 2024. Stay tuned for more info!

Very happy to share the news that I have been awarded the Creator Fund Grant from New Music USA! I’ll use this support to compose music for small ensemble featuring a new collaboration with oudist Ronnie Malley. Thank you, New Music USA, and congrats to all awardees!
